THE MUNICH SHOWDOWN

The majestic Allianz Arena Munich,Germany.

The Champions League rivalry resumes again on 19 May, with some old favourites in the final. Some of the big clubs that were meant to stroll into the final, find themselves watching the final rather than playing in it. Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona were the talk of the town that one between the two would be playing in the majestic  Allianz Arena, Munich. One would say may be it wasn’t meant for both Galacticos and Catalans to be in the final, as they disappointed were it mattered most for them to win.

Real Madrid had a perfect record I the group stages but (la decima) a 10th European crown still eludes them. Their arch rivals were dubbed unstoppable team in the world, thanks to  Chelsea’s new coach Di Matteo for high class tactics, Catalans were drubbed 1-2 at their turf. Bayern the mere fact that final is in Munich gives them the extra confidence to look ahead and deliver a great showdown
They eliminated Jose Mourhino’s side away at Santiago Bernabeu, praise must go to the ever hardworking Bastian Schweinsteiger sudden death penalty which assured the The Bavarians a spot in the final.

It remains to be seen whether the Bavarians will sing the blues perfectly in their arena or will they dance to the tune. The fans of both sides are eager  to see their teams winning but only one will prevail in the night. One may say be there or be dead when the titans clash, it’s a final which need not to be missed.
